If you would’ve told 15 year old Lori that one day she was going to learn Spanish, and that one day that passion for languages would turn into a love for travel and would one day meet the man of her dreams in Italy- I would’ve thought you were JOKING!

But in all seriousness- my love for travel, culture, languages, food, and traditions stemmed from a very young age. I didn’t grow up with very many cultural teachings, or ways of life, but I was always eager to learn and embrass the Spanish culture around me. When I was in the ninth grade I made it my mission to learn Spanish, and soon after I would win the foreign language award at my school. Then, I went to highschool and College and continued practicing Spanish- finishing at the top of my class in Language Arts in the most advanced class you could place in. I never knew this love for Spanish would take me so far, but it ultimately lead me to this sweet little place called Italy in Europe :)

Right before a really tough time for travel (COVID) my girl friends and I got the “itch” to travel to Italy and explore any area we possibly could, but we chose to start with the Coasta Amalfitana. Till this day, I have never seen or experienced a place, quite like this, let alone Italy. It was this birthday trip, that REALLY turned me into a true lover of the Italian culture and way of life, that I decided I had to see and know everything there was about Italy.

As they say- Rome wasn’t built in a day, so the purpose of this blog is not only to give recommendations on where to go, what to see, where to stay, or what to eat, but to also provide insight into what it’s like to live, breathe, and experience all things italy- and most importantly- respect the culture.
